Resource Protections Officer, Adjutant General's Office

Works side-by-side with Air Guard Military Police to perform 100% validation of all personnel entering the 190th Air Refueling Wing installation and searches and verifies vendors, contractors and delivery loads against bills of lading.  Maintains a high degree of alertness in protecting the ANG area from fire, espionage, sabotage, theft and other acts considered a threat to the security of Federal and State resources. Provide mobile patrol of installation with aircraft parking areas and base containment areas a priority.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  Starts at $15.50 hr with possible .50 hr shift differential and State of Kansas benefits.  Opportunity to receive annual performance/proficiency pay increases


Must be High School graduate or equivalent, minimum age of 21, valid Kansas Drivers License with no restrictions and the ability to obtain and maintain a government drivers license.  Position requires ANACI Security clearance as a condition of employment.  Requires the use of a firearm, with no convictions or diversions from a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence crime as set forth in 18 U.S.C.922(d)(9)and (g)(9).  Must qualify on pistol and long gun semi-annually as a condition of employment and should be familiar with small arm safety and use.  Must re-certify on property responses annually.  Must be able to quickly assess critical situations and direct appropriate response to situations.
Requires a Minimum of one year armed security or police experience, possession of an AFSC in Security Police and/or comparable Law Enforcement certification.  Education or training may substitute for some experience
