Police Officer, Holcomb Police Department

The City of Holcomb, KS (pop. approx. 2,190) is seeking applicants for a full time Police Officer.  This position provides law enforcement and public safety services to the community to include enforcement of criminal statutes and ordinances, traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol activity, accident investigation, resolution of domestic and other disturbances, prosecution support and non-criminal public safety services and other duties as assigned.

 

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  The City of Holcomb offers a full benefit package including paid insurance, holiday leave, sick leave, vacation leave, funeral leave and KPERS.  Starting salary depends on experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

High school diploma or GED;

Minimum age of 21 on the date of examination; US Citizen; No felony convictions; Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license; Must have a driving record which meets the City’s insurance requirements; Must reside in Holcomb within 90 days of employment; Must obtain or possess a current full time KLETC certification; Applicant must pass a complete background check and physical.

Preference will be given to applicants with KLETC certification
