Executive Director, Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center

The executive director of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center(KLETC) is responsible for the leadership, strategic management, coordination and administrative oversight of KLETC.  The executive director is appointed pursuant to Kansas law (KSA 74-5603) by the KU Chancellor in consultation with and approval of the governor-appointed state regulatory board, the Kansas Commission on Peace Officer's Standards and Training.    Application review begins on April 19th.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Required qualifications include a masters degree or terminal professional degree, a minimum of 10 years increasingly responsible leadership experience as a full-time law enforcement officer or law enforcement training program administrator, seven years of recent supervisory experience and excellent written communication skills.
