Executive Director, Kansas Operation Lifesaver

Kansas Operation Lifesaver Inc, a non-profit public safety education and outreach program designed to
eliminate collisions, deaths and injuries at rail crossings and rights-of-way seeks qualified applicants for
the part time position of Executive Director. 


The Executive Director is a dynamic and visionary leader with a strong commitment to the mission of
Kansas Operation Lifesaver.  The Executive Director shall support all functions of the organization and
facilitate a positive work environment among the organization. The Executive Director reports to the
Board of Directors and is empowered to conduct the day-to-day business of the organization, consistent
with the policies and regulations established by the Board.  The Executive Director is subject to annual
evaluations, or as otherwise determined by the Board.

TYPE:   Part-Time


  • This is a part time position.  The Executive Director is expected to work an average of 20 hours
    per week.
  • Monthly salary range is $1000 to $1500 per month
  • Does not include benefits.
  • The Executive Director will be subject to some travel (reimbursed) to quarterly meetings, special
    trainings and conferences in and out of state.


Though previous professional, management experience will be considered, preference is given to
 candidates who have a strong business acumen and demonstrative experience successfully managing a
nonprofit which included event planning, business management, and fundraising. Successful completion
of the volunteer training course will also be required once a candidate is determined..
