Police Officer position
The Mission Police Department is soliciting highly motivated individuals for the full time position of Police Officer. Mission is a suburb located in the heart of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Those selected to fill open positions will be enforcing local, state, and federal laws, as well as investigating crimes, enforcing traffic regulations, investigating traffic accidents, assisting the public, and serving in a department that embraces the community policing philosophy. State certified officers are preferred, but when applicants are not certified, full training will be provided, when selected. All uniforms and equipment are furnished. Included is a generous benefits package, paid holidays, sick, and vacation time. Qualified applicants must have above average written and verbal skills.
TYPE: Full Time
SALARY: $42,620.00-$64,770.00. Lateral transfers accepted pay range is dependent on applicant qualifications.
Requirements: Applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of application, and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a clean criminal record, and vision correctable to 20/20. Applicants must pass a written test, physical agility test, psychological test, medical/physical, and drug screen. Work schedule requires weekend, holiday, rotating shift work, overtime, and court appearances
