School Resource Officer, Mount Hope Police Department

The City of Mount Hope seeks applications for a School Resource Officer position for future employment.  This unique position includes approximately 75% of work time assigned to a specialized school with the remaining shifts assigned to municipal patrol duties.  SRO responsibilities will include: conflict resolution; establish and maintain close relationships with school administrators, staff, students, and parents; critical incident planning and practice; promotion of the profession of a peace officer while serving as a positive role model, and developing crime prevention programs and conducting security patrols and inspections

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  $18.07 to $22.47 depending on qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  NASRO certification preferred.  Current law enforcement certification and valid drivers license required.  Applicants should have no previous felony convictions, drug usage, nor Brady/Giglio materials in their past.  Pre-employment requirements to include an extensive background inquiry, medical screening to include drug tesing, psychological testing, and a written examination.
