The Ness County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications to fill one Deputy Sheriff position. The Ness County Sheriff’s Office operates 24 hours a day so applicants must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Deputies provide citizen assistance, enforce all federal, state and local laws while performing daily patrol duties. Deputies makes arrests, enforces traffic laws, transports prisoners, serves civil process, investigates crimes, and traffic accidents. Deputies work a rotating 12-hour shift that includes a three-day weekend off every other week. Other benefits include KPERS Retirement and health insurance. The Sheriff’s Office provides a take home patrol vehicle and all uniforms/equipment..

SALARY: Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
-Certified Kansas Law Enforcement Officer or ability to attain certification
-21 years of age
-Possess at least a high school diploma or GED
-Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
-No criminal history
-No Brady/Giglio issues
