Sheriff Herman T. Jones

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  21.21 per hour


•21 years of age or older
•Good health
 •High School diploma or GED
•No record of felony or domestic violence conviction
•Good moral character
•Good credit history
•Valid drivers license
•U.S. Citizen
•Ability to complete examinations and interviewing.

Physical Agility Test: includes plank, push-ups, running, vertical jump, trigger pull and ability to carry specific amount of weight.

Written Examination: Each category requires minimum of 70% to pass.

Interviews and Background Process: Includes background checks and in-person interviews with Professional Standards Unit, Staff Review and Polygraph. Additional procedures will include in-depth background check, drug screening, physical and psychological testing and personal interview with the Sheriff.
