Police Officer, Mulvane Police Department

The Mulvane Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer. The City of Mulvane, 6700 population, is located on the county line between Sumner and Sedgwick counties, 20 minutes from Wichita and 15 minutes from McConnell Air Force Base. Mulvane is a progressive city with officials and community members alike, donating their time for the betterment of the community.  Mulvane is home to the Kansas Star Casino, No residency requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 21 years of age

  • U.S. Citizen 

  • No Prior Felony Convictions

  • Valid Kansas Driver’s License

  • Ability to obtain/ or maintain police officer certification through KLETC/ KS-CPOST; Prior certification is preferred, but not required

  • Must pass written test, background investigation, oral interview, drug test, physical, and psychological testing.

Shift Assignment: This is currently a night shift position. Reports to Shift Sergeant.

  • 12-hour shifts/ 84-hour pay period

Salary: Dependent upon qualifications.  (Police Officer Pay Range $17.82 - $27.81)
