We Kan Drive Program Coordinator - Kansas Traffic Resource Office

Position Overview:

  • Develops program activities with up to 100 participants annually
  • Actively promotes We Kan Drive to child welfare case management providers,  independent living programs, and other venues popular with youth and young adults
  • Develops referral process through extendedReach
  • Develops recruitment materials for We Kan Drive
  • Develops a program recruitment plan
  • Accepts intake information regarding potential referrals to We Kan Drive
  • Conducts intake meetings with interested participants, engaging other case managers as needed
  • Coordinate transportation options as needed to ensure equal opportunity for participation
  • Assists program participants in accessing resources throughout the community to meet their needs
  • Develops and monitors individual action plans for each participant to ensure desired goals are met
  • Develops and oversees We Kan Drive social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Develops partnerships with insurance providers, lending institutions, mechanics, and driver's education programs
  • Updates extendedReach at least once weekly or as requested
  • Participates in work groups, meetings, and events to support We Kan Drive
  • Tracks and submits program and fiscal reports monthly
  • Tracks and reports program outcomes monthly
  • Recruits program participants

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a human services field
  • At least two years of child welfare and/or family services experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record 
  •  Must pass pre-employment background checks, drug screening, and fingerprinting
