Police Officer, Louisburg Police Department

The Louisburg Police Department is seeking motivated individuals to join our  department and fill full-time police officer positions. The Louisburg Police  Department works in partnership with a community that is family orientated, expresses home-town USA values and strongly supports their community’s first  responders.  

The position is responsible for providing public safety, enforcing local, state,  federal and traffic laws, investigating crimes and traffic accidents, serving and  protecting the community and building strong working partnerships with the  community and stakeholders. 

Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, have  a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and have no felony, serious  misdemeanor, or domestic violence convictions. State Certified Officers are  preferred, but not required.  

Starting salary for certified officers is $19.30 an hour, consideration given for  qualifications and experience. In addition to salary, the city provides a generous  benefit package to include enrollment in the Kansas Police & Fire Retirement  System, health insurance, sick-time, vacation, personal days and holidays. 

Candidate(s) must be able to pass a background investigation, drug testing,  physical exam, psychological exam and any additional requested testing.
