The City of Ulysses is seeking conscientious, motivated applicants for the position of Police Officer.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to patrol, responding to emergency calls and calls for service, investigating crimes as well as accidents, interviewing suspects, enforcing local, state and federal laws.
The Ulysses Police Department is a modern, well equipped agency that serves a population of approx. 6,000.
Starting salary of $38,000.00 per year for non certified applicants. Certified applicants salary will be based on prior experience. Benefits include health insurance, KPERs retirement, paid holidays and accumulated vacation and sick leave. The Ulysses Police Department provides all duty equipment as well as take home vehicles. Officers work a rotating schedule of 12 hour shifts which allow for every other weekend off.
Applicants must be able to pass a background investigation, drug screening, medical screening, and psychological evaluation.
