The university police dispatcher oversees the operations of an emergency communications center. Handles incoming calls and requests for police and security services. Monitors police radio alarms and dispatches officers as needed. Receives calls concerning crime, injury, safety, and other public emergencies. Monitors and responds to emergency 911 calls, including calls from alarm systems, county 911 systems and campus emergency systems.
Position Salary/Benefits - $13.70 per hour /
Minimum Requirement for Position - Requires a high school diploma, and the following credentials: Hearing must be correctable to a range that will allow normal radio and telephone conversation with field units, vision must be correctable to a range that will allow reading of computer display terminals, maps and printouts quickly and accurately and applicants must be free of felony convictions.
