The City of Bucklin, KS is accepting applications for a Police Chief.

Must be a United States Citizen, 21 years old by the time of hire, High School diploma or GED, satisfy all requirements as set forth in K.S.A. 74-5605, have or be able to obtain a valid driver license, must pass an extensive background check, interview board, psychological test, and drug screen. Must not have been charged or convicted of domestic violence, no felony conviction(s), including any felony conviction(s) that have been expunged. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
Must be a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Kansas or able to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire through the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.
Duties include enforcing local, state and federal laws, investigating crimes, enforcing traffic regulations, investigating traffic crashes, assisting the public, and serving on a TEAM that takes great pride in serving and protecting its community.
