The City of Pleasanton, Kansas is seeking interest from qualified candidates for the position of Law Enforcement Officer.
The essential functions of the position within the organization are to enforce City, State, and Federal laws; respond to calls, make arrests, issue citations, occasionally testify in court cases, and report on events and activities to the Chief of Police.
Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center Certification is required, but the City would be willing to send the right person to KLETC. Must be able to pass psychological exam, strong background check and have clear driving record. Prefer at least 1 year of active law enforcement, but the City is willing to train the right person. Must be able to pass a physical agility test and a medical physical examination.
Competitive benefits. Starting wage is $17.50-$22.50 per hour depending on prior experience, military service, and higher-level education.
