The City of Fort Scott is located on the outskirts of the Ozarks in Bourbon County, SE Kansas.  Located off of US Hwy 69, we are 30 min north of Pittsburg and 70 min south of Overland Park.  Fort Scott (aka: "The Fort"), not only serves as the county seat, but is home to the national historical site of Fort Scott.  Fort Scott has much to offer, including hunting and fishing.  Our historic downtown area was recently ranked #2 in the State of Kansas (https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/kansas/kansas-old-town-districts/)
