The Leawood Police Department is accepting applications for entry-level and certified Police Officers.
Leawood Officers provide law enforcement and public safety services to the community to include the enforcement of state and local laws, statutes and ordinances, criminal and crash investigation, crime prevention, and traffic enforcement. This position requires independent judgement with superior decision-making skills.

Minimum Requirements
- You must be 21 years of age
- a United States citizen
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have a valid driver’s license
- complete an extensive background check
- pass a physical assessment, psychological assessment and a drug screening
- complete a certified police academy and department field training program
Salary Range: $53,040 to $91,237 per year with lateral pay considerations for certified Police Officers. 5% bonus every three years, competitive City benefits and paid vacation.
