The Clay Center Police Department is taking applications for a full-time Patrol Officer.  We are offering a $5000 sign on bonus for certified officers (preferred), or a $2000 sign on bonus for uncertified candidates. 

The City of Clay Center has a generous benefit package including 100% paid family Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance, paid sick leave and vacations, KPERS retirement, and take-home cars.  Certified officers start at $18.50 hr.   

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have no domestic violence, Brady/Giglio issues, or felony convictions, diversions, or expungements.  Minimum education requirements are a high school diploma or GED.  Applicants must have current KLETC certification or be eligible for, and complete reciprocity to be eligible for the $5000 sign on bonus.
