The Andover Police Department is interested in professional, highly motivated, problem-solving, and community-oriented individuals for full-time Police Officer positions.  The men and women of the Andover Police Department are committed to our values of Compassion, Integrity, and Commitment.  The City of Andover is a rapidly growing, contemporary community with excellent schools.  Located adjacent to Wichita, it is small-town living at its finest, with many of the big city amenities.

The Andover Police Department is a 28-sworn member, nationally accredited agency, with strong community commitment, and high integrity standards.  Officers enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, an on-site exercise facility, grooming standards that allow for beards and visible tattoos, and no residency requirement.  Officers also enjoy excellent benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, KP&F retirement, vacation, holidays, sick leave, and a corporate discount for a YMCA membership.

Starting wage for non-certified candidates is $20.50 with an increase to $21.32 following initial training.  Certified candidates can earn a starting wage of up to $22.48 depending on experience and qualifications.  Officers are eligible to advance to Master Patrol Officer after two years of experience and completion of required training.
