The City of Scott City is seeking Entry Level or Lateral Transfer applicants for the position of Police Officer 1 or Police Officer 2. The Scott City Police Department is a modern, well-equipped agency that serves a population of 4,200.  Our schools are state of the art and just underwent a $25 million renovation.  We are comprised of nine officers, four dispatchers and one administrative assistant.  Our department provides an opportunity to advance to positions such as Sergeant, Detective, SRO and K-9 Handler.

SALARY:  $18.59 per hour (no experience), $20.13 with one year and up depending on experience.
Range: $18.59-$26.56

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be a legal US Citizen
Must possess a valid KS Driver's License
Have a High School diploma or GED
Possess good moral character
Cannot have any felony convictions
Cannot have serious misdemeanor convictions
No Brady/Giglio issues
