Human Trafficking Task Force Coordinator, Office of the District Attorney, Third Judicial District of Kansas, Shawnee County

The Task Force Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the duties of the District Attorney as assigned. Primarily, this position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities between law enforcement and the victim service providers, scheduling and facilitating meetings; maintaining grant program compliance and reporting; organizing and participating in public awareness campaigns; building and maintaining strong working relationships between law enforcement and victims service providers. This position is funded by the OVC FY 2023 Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking cooperative agreement for a period of 36 months, with the potential for continued funding if successfully awarded again under the same grant. 

Primary Duties

  • Coordinate the Kaw Valley Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force

  • Build relationships with task force partners

  • Submit performance reports through the JustGrants Portal

  • Assist with submitting financial reports

  • Schedule and coordinate task force meetings, community meetings, trainings, and other task force activities.

  • Assist with collecting data on investigations conducted and victim-survivors identified and offered services. 

  • Staying in compliance with any additional grant requirements

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the federal grant system

  • Knowledge of human trafficking 

  • Experience coordinating activities  

Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong ability to communicate, organize, and be detail-oriented. 

  • Ability to speak in front of large groups. 

  • Ability to work with partnering law enforcement agencies and victim service providers to perform duties

  • Ability to use common sense and discretion in carrying out duties.

  • Passion for serving victim-survivors of human trafficking and holding their traffickers responsible. 

FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay Range Starting at $50,000
