Starting wages for this position are between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour. Officers with a K-9 assigned to them will be compensated for off-duty maintenance responsibilities such as feeding, grooming and cleaning of the animal and facilities, as well as K-9 call-outs. K-9 Handlers will be authorized to accrue up to 3.5 additional hours per pay period for K-9 maintenance.
