The Sheriff’s Deputy performs law enforcement work in the protection of life and property.  Work involves patrolling County areas, enforcing the law, securing compliance with traffic regulations and making preliminary investigations at the scene of a crime or a traffic accident. 

Position Salary/Benefits – $16.89/hr depending on qualifications

Minimum Requirement for Position – Current Kansas certified law enforcement credentials preferred.  High School Diploma or GED required.  Must possess or be able to obtain Kansas Law Enforcement Certification within one year of employment.  Must be 21 years of age.  Valid class C Kansas driver’s license required.
