The City of El Dorado is accepting applications for a full-time Patrol Officer. We are a highly progressive and professional agency that provides dedicated service to the City and Citizens of El Dorado. Our motto, "Community Safety, Partners in Service" states the essential purpose of the El Dorado Police Department. We protect the rights of all persons within our jurisdiction to be free from criminal attack, to be secure in their possessions, and to live in peace. We have an authorized force of 28 sworn officers, and we want you to join our team.

Applicants must be US Citizens and 21 years of age on the date of application. All applicants must possess the minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants can not have any prior felony convictions, felony or misdemeanor domestic violence convictions, or convictions of crimes of dishonesty. Applicants must pass a background investigation prior to employment. (This list is not all-inclusive)

Average annual entry salary: $35,692.00
