The City of Hesston is accepting applications for a professional minded person to serve as police officer.  We believe that we should uphold the values as embodied in the Constitution and dedicate ourselves to the preservation of liberty and justice.  We believe in improving the quality of community through equitable services. We believe that life and individual freedoms are sacred.  We believe that the department’s employees are its most valuable asset. We believe that we are most effective when we can identify and solve community problems. 

The city offers a competitive compensation plan that includes: $21+ per hour, KPERS and ICMA Retirement, Medical, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance among other benefits.

Must be a United States Citizen, 21 years old by the time of hire, High School diploma or GED, satisfy all requirements as set forth by state statute for certification, valid driver's license, must pass an extensive background check, interview board, written aptitude test, psychological test, physical exam and drug screen.
