The Kingman County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking a motivated individual for full-time Deputy Sheriff. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to; patrol work, responding to emergency calls, dispatched calls, conducting investigations, interviewing, gathering evidence, serving warrants, civil process, enforcing traffic laws, enforcing federal and state laws, preparing reports. This position must be able to act without direct supervision and exercise independent judgment in handling emergencies. Deputies have take-home patrol vehicle, paid family health insurance, dental, and KPERS. There is additional Aflac insurance optional at employees’ expense Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off for vacation and sick leave. Kingman County Sheriff’s Office will provide uniforms, equipment, duty pistol, rifle, and Taser.

Wages: $17.26 for interim (No KLETC academy), Deputy $17.75 after or with KLETC academy.

Minimum requirements: At least 21 years, H.S. Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, successfully pass a background investigation, psychological exam, physical, meet KLETC requirements, and league to carry a gun. Due to deputies being issued take-home vehicles, there is a residency requirement to reside within Kingman County within 60 days of employment.
