The Clay County Sheriff's Department is currently accepting applications for a Deputy Sheriff.   Deputies work directly with the public by responding to calls, taking reports (criminal offenses and traffic accidents) and various other services.

SALARY: Based on experience, education, and training.

BENEFITS: Uniforms and equipment furnished, insurance, dental and vision insurance plans, Paid vacation/sick leave, Paid designated holidays, KPERS Retirement, Take home patrol vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Kansas driver's license and a high school diploma or GED. No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. Must be able to perform all duties associated with the position and be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Kansas certified officers given preference. An E.O.E.
