RETIREMENT RECEPTION

WHEN:  Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 5:30PM -7:00PM

A Deputy Police Chief for Wichita at the time, Al Thimmesch was appointed Secretary/Treasurer of the Kansas Peace Officers Association in 1984 by then KPOA President Richard Lamunyon.  Al retired from the Wichita Police Department in 1989 and went on to serve as Secretary/Treasurer of the KPOA for the next 35 years until his retirement on June 30th.   Al not only just provided services to the KPOA but other associations including the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police and the Kansas Sheriff's Association. 

A true dedicated lawman and servant,  we want to honor his many years of dedicated service to Kansas Law Enforcement.  We hope that you will attend a reception in Al's honor on the evening of Tuesday, October 8th at the Drury Plaza Hotel.
