Lyon County Sheriff's Spring Training

Since 2006, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has held a 3-day training covering a variety of law enforcement topics.  This training provides an opportunity for law enforcement to get up to 24 hours of high-quality training. This training brings in up to 200 of Kansas’ finest law enforcement officers to stay trained in all aspects of law enforcement.

Tuesday, April 7

  • 8:00 – 8:30 – Honor Guard, Pledge of Allegiance, Moment of Silence for fallen officers, Welcome from the Sheriff, Announcements
  • 8:30 – 11:30 – “1 October” – Las Vegas Metro
  • 11:30 – 12:30 – Lunch
  • 12:30 – 2:30 – Post Critical Incident Care, Dr. Jennifer Prohaska & Special Agent Angie Jones, KBI
  • 2:30 – 3:00 pm – Vendors Presentations
  • 2:30 – 5:00 – Cellular Analysis Survey Team (CAST) – Special Agent Tim Flohrschutz, FBI Kansas City
  • 5:30 – 9:00 – Steak Fry

Wednesday, April 8

  • 8:00 – 12:00 Kansas Bureau of Investigations Special Operations Division Case Review – SA Cory Nation
