The Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a two-day training class called Criminal Interdiction Successful Trends and Techniques. The training will be held on June 23rd and 24th from 8am to 5pm at the Fort Scott Community College round room located in Baily Hall. There will be also hands-on training outside so dress accordingly to weather.
The cost of the class will be $150 per officer. Checks can be sent to the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office 293 East 20th Street Fort Scott, Kansas 66701; or the student can pay at the door. The checks need to be made out to Kendel Swicord who is an associate with the Desert Snow training group. Korey Goplin another Desert Snow associate will be assisting.
You need to register by sending an email to Undersheriff Ben Cole at bcole@bourboncountyks.org or Sheriff Bill Martin at wkmartin@bourboncountyks.org. The email must contain the names and phone number of all persons attending the class. The class size is limited to the first 50 students, so register as soon as possible. A waiting list will be created once 50 people have registered for the class.
