Legislative Conference

This meeting is primarily for members of the KPOA Legislative Committee, but any interested ACTIVE member may also attend.  Supporting members and non-members are NOT eligible.

This is the annual meeting where the KPOA, Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police (KACP) and the Kansas Sheriffs' Association (KSA) meet to discuss and identify the legislative priorities for Kansas Law Enforcement that are expected to be addressed in the upcoming legislative session in Topeka.  Each association will meet individually with Legislative Liaison Ed Klumpp, then as a joint body in the afternoon concluding with a reception hosted by the three associations for attending elected legislators.  The reception provides opportunities for one-on-one dialogue with senators and representatives of Kansas.

The KPOA Legislative Board Meeting will begin at 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Jefferson Room of the Hotel.

The Joint Legislative Meeting of the three associations will be held in the same room at 3:30 PM. 

The Legislative Reception will be held in the Grand Ballroom from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
