Pistol Mounted Optic Overview

KPOA District 3 and the Kansas Highway Patrol are hosting a "Pistol Mounted Optic Overview" course on April 20, 2023 from 10AM - 2PM.  

The overview will consist of a will consist of a 2-hour lecture, lunch , and then an hour at the range.

We will cover the following:

1. Establish performance based training techniques. 
2. Marksmanship fundamentals with a PMO.
3. Advantages/Limitations of a PMO.
4. Inspection and Maintenance considerations.
5. Policy and Training considerations.
6. Equipment considerations for duty use.
7. KHP Testing and Evaluation Process.

Seating is limited to 80 attendees.

Registration is FREE to current KPOA Members and $30.00 for non-members which covers the annual membership dues.

Students Need:  If you have a pistol with an optic, that would be helpful. KHP has only 6 agency pistols outfitted with optics, plus a few of have personal ones to provide for the training.
