K9 and Traffic Stop Case Law

Hosted by the Seward County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Kansas Police Dog Association (KPDA)
The KPDA has invited Colin Wood to be a guest speaker on April 18, 2024 from 1 PM to 5 PM during their week long annual certification Spring Conference. The KPDA has opened this class to surrounding agencies. Patrol officers & K9 handlers are welcome. The class will be a 4-hour block of K9 and Traffic stop case law. They are asking for a donation of $20 per attendee. Please make checks payable to Kansas Police Dog Association.
Colin Wood is a retired KBI senior special agent having served many years as a street officer before joining the KBI. Recently, he retired again, this time from his second career as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. Now In his third act, Colin maintains a part-time private practice assisting law enforcement agencies and associations with legal counsel, prosecuting state court civil asset forfeiture cases, and teaching. He is a graduate of Wichita State University and Washburn School of Law.
