The purpose of this course is to provide training for law enforcement agencies responsible for maintaining order and safety through effective methodologies for dealing with civil disorder, protests, and violent mobs within their jurisdictions. This training program will provide effective methods to protect life and property, ensure the safety of protesters, the safety of the targets of protesters, and non-participants. This training will also provide tactics to restore order, manage and maintain safe environments, protect critical locations, maintain necessary public services, arrest criminal violators, enforce curfew, and provide a strong visible organized presence to assure the community at large the police are in control and not the violators. This training class will be conducted in a format that utilizes classroom instruction and tabletop exercises that are complemented by multiple realistic simulated practical immersion exercises.
