Instructor: George Ripley is a recently retired Homicide Detective (Sgt) spending 21 years employed with the City of York Police Department in Pennsylvania. During his career, he investigated over 170 Homicide cases in addition to a steady caseload of major crimes. As a result, George spent a great deal of time testifying in lengthy jury trials and court proceedings. He personally debriefed more than 300 jurors at a trial conclusion for professional research and development. These post-trial jury debriefings allowed for a better understanding of juror perceptions and views on witness testimony as well as evidence. During his career, George instructed and mentored Police Officers and Detectives on courtroom presence, testimony, and case preparation. He is a lifelong student of Psychology and has been internationally published on the unconventional use of magic to remove defensive barriers in interviews, interrogation, and witness interactions. Unsurprisingly, George is also a professional magician and public speaker who travels around the US lecturing and performing.
