This webinar is a step-by-step breakdown of three previous armed encounters. Each of these encounters presents common pre-attack indicators through the analysis of various armed engagements. Students will learn to utilize the data trends from these armed encounters to identify pre-attack indicators and reinforce their decision-making skills, thus increasing their survivability when engaging in an armed threat. Winning the armed encounter is not the end of the fight. Critical incidents can pose long-term physical and mental issues if left unchecked. This class will teach students how to prepare properly for an armed encounter. Additionally, students will learn how to recover and maintain their physical and mental wellness.

The instructor has been involved in three officer-involved shootings (OIS). Beyond his OIS experience, Taylor has been involved in numerous high-profile critical incidents, including witnessing an OIS and assisting with post-incident activities.

Course Topics Include:

  • Properly identifying pre-attack indicators
  • Formulating decisive actions during the event
  • Building mental and physical resilience
  • The process of getting through an armed encounter
  • Managing the physical and mental stress during the encounter
