The Lane County Sheriff's Office in Dighton, KS is taking applications for a fulltime deputy position.
Starting wage for certified applicants will depend on qualifications and is competitive for the area. We just instituted a competitive every two week, on call pay stipend. Lane County pays full family insurance with a very low deductible. Additional optional insurance coverage available at a very reasonable cost. All necessary uniforms and equipment are paid for by Lane County.
You'll have experienced, supportive and forward thinking administration. The community of Lane is welcoming and very supportive of their deputies.
Applicant must pass background, medical and psychological testing at the appropriate stages of the pre-employment process.
Must be free of any Brady/Giglio issues and be eligible to possess and carry a firearm. Will be required to live in the county to continue employment.
