The Colby Police Department is currently seeking applications for the position of Police Officer I or II. We are a growing community in Northwest Kansas along I70 and are looking for motivated individuals who want to serve the community. We are a 24 hour agency with at least two officers on per shift.
Duties would include patrol, response to calls for service, and criminal investigations.
Applicants must be a US Citizen, twenty-one (21) years of age, and meet the Department standards in the following categories: background investigation, written testing, interviews, psychological test, drug screening and physical agility testing. Other requirements include a valid Kansas Driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent and residency requirements.

Starting salary will depend on qualifications. Starting salary with no experience or certification is $20.00/hour. Police officers work rotating 12-hour shifts, to include nights and weekends. Officers do have every other three-day weekend off.
