The Elk County Sheriff's Office is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill the role of Deputy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected law enforcement agency in one of the most beautiful and diverse counties in Kansas.
Elk County is located in south-central Kansas and has a population of approximately 3,000 residents. The county covers an area of 650 square miles and features a diverse landscape of rolling hills, prairies.
As a Deputy with the Elk County Sheriff's Office, you will be responsible for a variety of law enforcement duties, including patrolling the county, responding to emergency calls, conducting investigations, and working with other agencies to solve crimes. You
will also be expected to uphold the department's values of integrity, professionalism, and community service.
To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years of age, and possess a valid driver's license. A college degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred but not required. Additionally, you must be able to pass a background check and meet the physical requirements of the job.
