The Osage City Police Department has a job opening for a full-time Police Patrol Officer.
Our agency is responsible for 24/7 coverage, serving approximately 2,800 people. We are located approximately 30 minutes southwest of Topeka on K31 Highway. Osage City Police comprises seven full-time officers, including the Chief of Police.
Applicants must exhibit the highest integrity, self-motivation, and a community-oriented mindset.
Applicants are required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for a Police Patrol Officer is $19 to $26 per hour, depending on experience, training, and qualifications. Paydays are bi-weekly on Fridays.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- U.S. Citizen
- Valid Kansas driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED is required
- High moral character and integrity
- No Brady/Giglio violations
- No KSCPOST sanctions or disqualifications
- KLETC certification is preferred
Applicants must also be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, physical assessment, psychological assessments, oral and written exams, extensive background investigation, having no past felony record, domestic violence, D.U.I convictions or diversions, or other serious misdemeanor convictions.
