The City of Cedar Vale with a population of 475 is accepting applications/resumes for a full-time police chief. The job includes patrol and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws as well as city ordinances. Candidate must be able to work in a small-town environment. Excellent rural community communication skills. Must be available any shift (nights, weekends, and holidays). Must be computer proficient. Highly principled ethics and moral character. A true desire to serve all members of society. At least one year of similar or related experience required. Pay based on qualifications.
