The starting wage for an applicant begins at $28.50 per hour (non-certified). The maximum hourly wage for a Park Police Officer 1 is $39.44. Certified officers please ask.
Requirements:

United States Citizenship

Minimum 21 years of age

Able to pass a thorough background investigation including state and national fingerprint checks.

No felony convictions

No domestic violence convictions, diversions, or expungements

High school diploma or equivalent

Good moral character

Be able to complete a psychological evaluation to determine that the applicant does not have a mental or personality disorder that would adversely affect the applicant’s ability to perform the essential functions of a police officer.

Be free of any physical or mental condition that might adversely affect the performance of a police officer’s duties.
Preference Given: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or Kansas Law Enforcement Certification.
