The Goddard Public Schools is seeking a World Class Chief of Police for the 2025-2026 school year. USD 265 seeks a law enforcement professional to organize and direct comprehensive safety and security operations for all school district students, staff members, visitors, grounds, property, and buildings. The preferred candidate possesses superior leadership abilities in law enforcement administration and excellent oral and written communication skills. He/she embraces a community-oriented policing approach while maintaining excellent relationships with students, staff, law enforcement agencies, and community constituents.

Salary Range: $100,000  - $140,000

Key responsibilities include:

• Directing day-to-day police operations and supervising School District Police Officers
• Managing district-wide fire, security, and electronic access control systems
• Coordinating with local law enforcement agencies and outside security personnel
• Developing and implementing department policies and procedures
• Supervising criminal investigations and ensuring accurate reporting
• Maintaining authorized equipment and vehicles including firearms
• Supporting building administrators with safety and security needs
