The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for Part-time Sheriff’s  Deputy/Court Room Security. Part-time Deputies provide security for the three District Courts  located in Arkansas City and Winfield. Part-time deputies may also be called upon to volunteer  for additional functions within the Sheriff’s Office. After the testing and selection process has  been completed, qualified applicants must attend and pass the Kansas Law Enforcement  Training Center’s two-week part-time certification program as well as complete field training  within the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office. STARTING PAY: $19.65

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Applicant must be at least 21 years of age 
• Valid driver's license 
• No felony or domestic violence convictions 
• High School diploma, with college preferred
