The Cloud County Sheriff’s Department is seeking to fill a full-time Deputy Position.  We aim to hire those with a willingness to work with the community. Minimum qualifications must include: 

• High school Diploma/GED 

• KS Driver's License 

• No Felonies or Domestic Violence Convictions 

• Must be a US Citizen 

• Ability to Work Nights, Weekends, & Holidays 

• Pass a Written Test 

• Pass a Physical Agility Test 

• Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening 

• Pass O.C., Taser, and Firearm Qualifications

If hired, applicants who are not certified will be required to complete the 14-Week  law enforcement training academy. The starting pay for a Deputy Sheriff who is not  certified is $18.50/hr., more for experience, with an increase upon successfully  completing field training. The Cloud County Sheriff’s Department provides very  competitive insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield. Vacation days are accrued  from start of employment and are available for use at the 6-month mark of  employment.
