The City of Parker, a welcoming rural community of just 229 residents, is looking for a dedicated, community-minded Police Chief to provide professional law enforcement services at a part-time capacity, minimum of 40 hours per month.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced law enforcement professional who values small-town connections, problem-solving, and a proactive community policing approach.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Certified full-time law enforcement officer through KLETC or another accredited state agency
  • Within reasonable driving distance of Parker city limits
  • Professional, approachable, and committed to fostering trust and safety in the community

Position Highlights:

  • Flexible, part-time schedule — perfect for a previously employed officer looking to maintain certification or those seeking supplemental work!
  • Lead the department and shape the direction of public safety for the City of Parker
  • Opportunity to serve a community that values personal relationships and proactive policing
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Mayor, City Clerk, and Code Enforcement to foster positive public relations

If you’re ready to be the trusted face of law enforcement in a small Kansas town where your impact is seen and appreciated every day, we’d like to hear from you!
