The City of Wamego Police Department has a full-time employment vacancy for the Deputy

Chief of Police position.

Type: Full Time

Salary: DOQ

Minimum Qualifications-

The successful candidate must be a resident of the State of Kansas. Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalency. KLETC certification required, an associate degree in criminal justice or related law enforcement field is preferred. Minimum five (5) years of similar experience and/or education is required. All Kansas Commission on Peace Officers certification and employment requirements apply. Successful candidates must pass oral interview, psychological testing, drug/alcohol screening, criminal history background check and additional job-related testing.

Work schedule requires shift work including weekends, holidays, and court appearances.
