The Valley Center Police Department is soliciting highly motivated individuals for the fulltime position of Police Officer.

Those selected to fill open positions will be enforcing local, state, and federal laws, as well as investigating crimes, enforcing traffic regulations, investigating traffic collisions, and assisting the public. State certified officers are preferred, but full training will be provided.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment 
• Must possess a valid state drivers license with a good driving record. 
• Pass an extensive background check, psychological evaluation, pre-employment physical and drug test 
• Must be of good moral character  Must not have any Brady/Giglio material in background

Salary range:

• Non-Certified $20.35-$25.80 
• Certified DOQ $23.22-$30.96 

Six-month review with potential for an increase. Annual Reviews with potential for an increase every December
