The City of Russell is seeking professional, community-oriented individuals to join our team as a Community Service Officer. Situated at the crossroads of Interstate 70 and US Highway 281, we are a community dedicated to family, friends, and neighbors, where generations care for each other. The Role

This position provides a vital service to our community by enforcing city and state laws governing animal care, parking regulations, water violations, and other code violations. This is a non-sworn position focused on public service and maintaining the quality of life in Russell.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Kansas Class C driver’s license.
  • Experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right person.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and job placement assessment.

Note: There are no residency requirements for this position, subject to response times as administratively determined.
