Description

Come join the law enforcement team serving the citizens of Sherman County, Kansas.

We are searching for a career-minded public servant who is a good team player with a strong ethical character.

Limited duties include, being subject to respond to calls for service in Sherman County, Kansas; being the direct supervisor of sheriff’s office patrol, as well as the sheriff’s office jail sergeant, approving reports, overseeing daily patrol, and directly reporting to the Sheriff. Requirements

• KSCPOST certified law enforcement officer, or eligible for reciprocity for out-of-state certified law enforcement officers
• Must be 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• No felony convictions
• No misdemeanor DV or integrity convictions
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to visually recognize & distinguish colors
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Pass pre-employment background check
• Pass pre-employment psychological evaluation
• No “Brady/Giglio” information in personal or professional background
• Willing to work shift work, weekends, and holidays
